Bruno wins Southern Hairdresser of the Year 2011!

Bruno is The One, winning Southern Hairdresser of the Year for the second time at the British Hairdressing Awards! There were celebrations last night as our very own Bruno Giamattei was awarded the title of Southern Hairdresser of the Year, for a second time, after taking home the title in 2007, at HJ’s prestigious British Hairdressing Awards, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional.

Held in the glamorous Grosvenor House Hotel, a JW Marriott Hotel in London’s Park Lane, the British Hairdressing Awards, now in their 27th year, are the ‘Oscars’ of the hairdressing industry, recognising and celebrating the creativity of the inspirational British hairdressing industry. The British Hairdressing Awards, presented by Hairdressers Journal International and sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional was compered by leading media personality Jonathan Ross with entertainment provided by chart topping Aloe Blacc. 1750 guests from the world of hairdressing, fashion and media mingled at the prestigious event, which was held in the heart of Mayfair.

Bruno was the only finalist from Henley-on-Thames to make it through to the final of the acclaimed British Hairdressing Awards, which are the most recognised awards within the hairdressing industry. Bruno competed against five other talented stylists within the much sought-after category of Southern Hairdresser of the Year and was absolutely overwhelmed to win this prestigious title.

After receiving the award Bruno exclaimed; “I was so pleased to win the title of Southern Hairdresser of the Year it means so much to not only myself but everyone connected with Marc Antoni. This award is also a great tribute to the fantastic hairdressing talent and creativity within the South. This has been a fantastic year for the entire team at Marc Antoni and I would like to dedicate this award to them as without their amazing help and support I would not have won.”

“Each year the quality of the entries in each and every category is phenomenal and the creativity is inspirational,” comments Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Hairdressers Journal International, Jayne Lewis-Orr. “British hairdressing is recognised throughout the world as being the best, and the British Hairdressing Awards recognise and reward creativity and excellence in all hairdressing skills. Bruno should be very proud to have won this award.”

Well done Bruno! Another trophy for the already bustling Marc Antoni mantlepiece!
