The International Visionary Award 2011 took place during the 29th Alternative Hair Show on Sunday 16th October at The Royal Albert Hall.

Bruno-Marc Giamattei, partner of the multi-award-winning Marc Antoni group of salons proved that he was a innovator in his field, by coming second in this prestigious worldwide competition.

With International heats undertaken in Dublin, Ukraine and Milan – the Royal Albert Hall in London proved the perfect platform to host the finals.

And to compete for the Alternative’s International Visionary Award (which showcases fresh creative talent from the world over) 15 models presented a myriad of outstanding avant-garde creations, from huge furballs and exaggerated Mohicans to sleek colourful geometrics and asymmetric towers of hair. First place went to Marco Lamberti, Italy; second place to Bruno Marc Giamettei from Marc Antoni, UK the first ever runner up from the UK!

To come second in this worldwide competition, should set Bruno in good stead, as he is hoping for the success he has experienced in these international awards to be mirrored at the upcoming British Hairdressing Awards, in which he has been nominated for Southern Hairdresser of the Year, a title he has already claimed once, in 2007. This is the fourth time Bruno has been nominated for this award, having held the title in 2007 and 2008.

To beat off competition from the world over, Bruno once again proves why he is such a sought after stylist, and affirms his place as one of the industries greatest talents.
