Dan Spiller is a certified Visionary!

To be called a visionary is undoubtedly quite an accolade! If you lucky enough to be awarded such a title, you can be safe in the knowledge that your are part of a very exclusive set! Dan Spiller has been inducted into this most notable category, by taking home the sought after Creative Head’s It List Visionary of the Year Award on Monday 5th September, at Lawrence Hall in London, beating out four other worthy hairstylists to the title. The It list are renowned for showcasing exceptional talent and unrivalled passion, and Dan’s triumph pays homage to his skill.

The evening was a celebration of the competition’s 10th birthday, which made the night extra special. 15 categories saw the very best and latest in hairdressing glitterati, of which Dan is now a fully-fledged member.

Of course we all know that Marc Antoni as a salon group are not new to the merits of award winning. Dan Spiller also took home Newcomer of the Year at the 2010 British Hairdressing Awards, while Altin Ismaili of the Woodley salon won a place in this years F.A.M.E. Team, as well as finalising for the Wella Professional Trend Vision Award 2011, in which he took silver in 2010, coming second to Dan! Bruno Marc Giamattei of course won the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards Southern Hairdresser of the Year in 2007, so it is safe to say the Marc Antoni Team are steeped in talent and achievement.

Dan takes much of his hair inspiration from the street: bq. “I love refining the rawness and translating it into a piece of my own work.” He says. Session styling is a passion of Dan’s and he believes the skills he has learnt have helped dramatically to improve all other areas of his career. Dan also occupies a place in Marc Antoni’s talented artistic team, who are nominated for this year’s British Hairdresser of the Year, Artistic Team Award. If Dan’s past success is anything to go by, the Art Team look set for victory!
